Hello, wonderful readers!
I hope your April has been off to a wonderful start. I'm here to share a little update about what's been going on in my life.
Upcoming TTRPG - Uncharted
The first thing of note is I've almost finished work on my next TTRPG. It's called Uncharted, and it's a collaborative 2 player map making game. It's a short, beginner friendly game, and I'm quite excited to share it with you all. I'm hoping to release it either the end of this month or beginning of May, so stay tuned for more updates.
In the mean time, my last TTRPG (The Space Between Us: a collaborative sci fi game) is still available as part of the TTRPGS for Trans Rights fundraiser bundle, which you can pick up here until the start of May.
What I'm Reading - Gothic Horror
I've been on a huge gothic horror kick this past month. For those of you who are new here, while cozy fiction has my heart, gothic horror is a very close second. I've been doing an analysis of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" for an English language course I'm taking, and it's reignited my love for the genre. Here's a list of my recent reads, both gothic horror and otherwise, with star rankings.
The Masque of the Red Death - Edgar Allan Poe (3/5 stars)
What Moves the Dead - T. Kingfisher (4.5/5)
The Yellow Wallpaper - Charlotte Parks Gilman (4/5)
Compound Fracture - Andrew Joseph White (4.5/5)
Have you read any good books lately? Let me know in the comments here or on Instagram!
Appreciating Spring - Walks, Nature Photography, and Birds
As we've shifted solidly into the spring season, I've been making a pointed effort to go on frequent walks with my spouse. This has been lovely. It's been great to be outside and see all the creatures. I've even pulled back out my film cameras to take some photos. I don't have those photos back from the shop yet, so in the meantime, here are a few I've taken on my phone.
Thanks for reading!
Until next time,
Elliot
